From studying the advertisement and information provided about the job, you should be able to highlight these requirements and ensure that, as far as possible, you satisfy them. Remember that you can describe your work experience in different ways, depending on the exact nature of the position concerned. For example, in one case you may emphasise the experience you obtained in handling people and achieving results. In another case, you may need to emphasise the amount of work you did, analysing and interpreting data, preparing reports and contributing to the development of new ideas, policies and procedures. Detail about the precise way in which you worked is not required. What are relevant to the employer are the transferable skills involved in each case, ie those skills that will be equally useful in the job you are applying for now.
